Why it is important to standardize?

Standardization also brings innovation, first because it provides structured methods and reliable data that save time in the innovation process and, second, because it makes it easier to disseminate groundbreaking ideas and knowledge about leading edge techniques.

Herein, why do we have to standardize the NaOH solution?

Solid NaOH is highly hygroscopic (it absorbs water from the air) and thus it cannot be accurately weighed. A KHP sample of known mass (and, therefore, known moles) can be titrated with the NaOH solution to determine very precisely the concentration of the NaOH. This procedure is called standardizing the NaOH solution.

What is the definition of standardization?

Standardization or standardisation is the process of implementing and developing technical standards based on the consensus of different parties that include firms, users, interest groups, standards organizations and governments Standardization can help to maximize compatibility, interoperability, safety, repeatability
