Why is cilest discontinued?

Then, is cilest the same as Cilique?

Cilique is a combined pill taken by women for contraception. Cilique contains the same active ingredients as a well-known combined pill called Cilest – norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol. How does the progesterone only pill work?

The "traditional" progestogen-only pill (POP) prevents pregnancy by thickening the mucus in the cervix to stop sperm reaching an egg. The desogestrel progestogen-only pill can also stop ovulation.
