Why does my dog sleep all the time?

Dogs spend a good part of their life sleeping because that's how they're genetically designed. In fact, the time to worry is when your dog isn't sleeping as much as he used to. Changes in sleeping patterns can indicate a problem—whether that means a health issue or stress. All dogs sleep a lot—and some sleep even more.

Also question is, how do I stop my dog from begging for food?

Tell every member of your family to quit giving your dog food from the table, food from the couch, food from the chair, food from the desk etc. He should only be eating food from his bowl. When you are eating, place your dog in a sit/stay or down/stay and have him remain there until your meal is finished.

Why is my dog always so hungry?

In many of the above cases, the underlying mechanism leading to increased hunger is the same: your dog's body is unable to absorb the nutrients in the food or digest it properly, so their appetite goes into overdrive. They are actually starving no matter how much food they eat, so they compensate by eating everything.

How do you teach your dog to beg?

Begin with your dog sitting.
  1. Hold a treat in front of your dog's nose, and give him the command "beg."
  2. Slowly move the treat up so your dog will have to stretch his nose up in the air to reach it.
  3. As soon as your dog lifts his nose in the air, click your clicker or tell him "good," and give him a treat.
