What should be included in the results section of a research paper?
The results section is where you report the findings of your study based upon the methodology [or methodologies] you applied to gather information. A section describing results is particularly necessary if your paper includes data generated from your own research.

The research methodology is a science that studying how research is done scientifically. It is the way to systematically solve the research problem by logically adopting various steps. Also it defines the way in which the data are collected in a research project.

The purpose of the discussion is to interpret and describe the significance of your findings in light of what was already known about the research problem being investigated, and to explain any new understanding or insights about the problem after you've taken the findings into consideration.
