What is the difference between a monosaccharide and a disaccharide?

Glucose, Fructose and Galactose are all monosaccharides. Their functinalities are different and they are structurally different from each other too, but the have the same molecular formula- C6H12O6. Therefore, they are Isomers of each other. Disaccharides are two molecules of sugar.
