What is the acronym for the Democratic Party?

DNC which stands for Democratic National Committee. Although I guess the true counterpart for them would be the RNC Republican National Committee. GOP stands for Grand Old Party so I don't know if the democrats have an exact equivalent.

Also, what does the elephant symbolize?

Many African cultures revere the African Elephant as a symbol of strength and power. It is also praised for its size, longevity, stamina, mental faculties, cooperative spirit, and loyalty. South Africa, uses elephant tusks in their coat of arms to represent wisdom, strength, moderation and eternity.

What does it mean to be a Republican?

In general, Republicans tend to take a more conservative stand on issues. They believe that the federal government should not play a big role in people's lives. Most Republicans favor lower taxes and less government spending on social programs. They believe in less government intervention in business and the economy.

What is the Republican color?

Before the 2000 presidential election, the traditional color-coding scheme was often "Blue for Republican, Red for Democrat," in line with European associations, where red is used for left-leaning parties, and blue for the right. The colors red and blue also are featured on the U.S. flag.
