What is set priority in task manager?

"Realtime" in Windows is just another priority setting. It only means that you can't set a another priority higher than that. So, if everything is running at normal, setting one process to realtime is no different than setting it to above normal or high.

How do I prioritize a program?

  1. Start Task Manager (Right Click on the Start Bar and select Task Manager)
  2. Click on the Processes tab.
  3. Right Click on the required process and select "Set Priority"
  4. You can then select a different priority.
  5. Close Task Manager.

What does set priority real time mean?

It basically is higher/greater in everything else. A keyboard is less of a priority than the real time process. This means the process will be taken into account faster then keyboard and if it can't handle that, then your keyboard is slowed.
