What is meant by employee development?

Employee development is defined as a process where the employee with the support of his/her employer undergoes various training programs to enhance his/her skills and acquire new knowledge and skills.

What is people development?

An effective people development strategy is key for success and being able to react to changing business conditions. Training (or People Development) is a strange thing. Many firms think they are training their people. Unfortunatly many of their people do not think they get enough training. It's a catch 22!
