What is light and heat?

Light and heat are two different forms of energy. Heat is the most common form of energy transferred in day to day life. Light is form of electromagnetic wave, in the visible region. Coming into your question, let me tell ypu first how heat can be transferred.

Herein, how does heat travel?

How Does Heat Travel? Heat can be transferred from one place to another by three methods: conduction in solids, convection of fluids (liquids or gases), and radiation through anything that will allow radiation to pass. The method used to transfer heat is usually the one that is the most efficient.

Is light a form of heat?

Heat is a form of light invisible to our eyes, but detectable with our skin. Visible light is part of a large spectrum of energy that includes other familiar electromagnetic energy regions: microwaves, radio waves, ultraviolet, and X-rays all are forms of light that we can not see.

How fast does heat travel in air?

Thermal radiation is electromagnetic radiation, i.e. photons, and so does travel at the same speed as light - it IS light. Convection (heat transfer from the flow of fluids) and conduction (heat transfer through touching solids), however, do not transfer heat at the speed of light.
