What is a critical path chart?
They were developed in the 1950s to control large defense projects, and have been used routinely since then. As with Gantt Charts , Critical Path Analysis (CPA) or the Critical Path Method (CPM) helps you to plan all tasks that must be completed as part of a project.
The critical path method (CPM) is a step-by-step project management technique for process planning that defines critical and non-critical tasks with the goal of preventing time-frame problems and process bottlenecks. Determine the expected completion or execution time for each task.
