What does change in barometric pressure?

CHANGES IN ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE. When the barometric pressure is lowering, it will be caused by 1, 2 or a combination of the 6 processes listed above. All the processes above deal either with decreasing the air density or causing the air to rise in order to lower the barometric pressure.

Simply so, is atmospheric pressure absolute?

The Standard Atmospheric Pressure is defined at sea-level at 273oK (0oC) and is 1.01325 bar or 101325 Pa (absolute). The temperature of 293oK (20oC) is sometimes used. In imperial units the Standard Atmospheric Pressure is 14.696 psi.
