What does 33 45 and 78 mean?

33-45-78 is the 1989 debut album by the Stereo MCs. It was recorded on a shoestring budget with DJ Cesare as drummer and Cath Coffey as backing vocalist. The title "33-45-78" refers to the three common RPM speed settings on a player of gramophone records.

What size is a 45 record?

The most common form of the vinyl single is the 45 or 7-inch. The names are derived from its play speed, 45 rpm, and the standard diameter, 7 inches (18 cm). The 7-inch 45 rpm record was released 31 March 1949 by RCA Victor as a smaller, more durable and higher-fidelity replacement for the 78 rpm shellac discs.

What is the size of a vinyl record?

The LP format remains in use for occasional new releases, though other formats have largely supplanted it. The size of the typical cardboard LP sleeve cover is 12.375 in (31.43 cm) square. Since the mid-1990s, the compact disc (CD) has become the most common form of physically-distributed music products.
