What do you do when someone is having a panic attack?

  1. Do remind the person having a panic attack that they are in no way obligated to stay where they are.
  2. Do assure them there is nothing to be afraid of.
  3. Do let them know that it's only temporary.
  4. Do encourage them to breathe.
  5. Do attempt to have an engaging conversation with them.
  6. Do stay with them.

How do I manage anxiety?

Try these when you're feeling anxious or stressed:
  1. Take a time-out.
  2. Eat well-balanced meals.
  3. Limit alcohol and caffeine, which can aggravate anxiety and trigger panic attacks.
  4. Get enough sleep.
  5. Exercise daily to help you feel good and maintain your health.
  6. Take deep breaths.
  7. Count to 10 slowly.
  8. Do your best.
