What are the formal and informal groups?
Informal Groups. Whereas formal groups are established by organizations to achieve some specific objectives, informal groups are formed by the members of such groups by themselves. They emerge naturally, in response to the common interests of organizational members.
Such groups are called formal groups. In contrast, informal groups are the groups that are neither formed in response to any organizational requirement nor have a formally defined structure of relationship between the group members.

- Group cohesiveness (also called group cohesion and social cohesion) arises when bonds link members of a social group to one another and to the group as a whole. Although cohesion is a multi-faceted process, it can be broken down into four main components: social relations, task relations, perceived unity, and emotions.
