What are the different types of motivation?

There are two primary types of motivation Intrinsic and Extrinsic Motivation. Extrinsic Motivation is geared toward external rewards and reinforcer's. Some examples of external rewards are money, praise, awards, etc.

Motivational theory is tasked with discovering what drives individuals to work towards a goal or outcome. Most motivational theories differentiate between intrinsic and extrinsic factors: the former are concerned with an individual's interest, enjoyment and willingness to partake in an activity.

What is the motivation?

A motive is an impulse that causes a person to act. Motivation is an internal process that makes a person move toward a goal. Instead, motivation can only be inferred by noting a person's behavior. Researchers have proposed theories that try to explain human motivation.
