Is thrush in the mouth painful?

Signs and symptoms may include: Creamy white lesions on your tongue, inner cheeks, and sometimes on the roof of your mouth, gums and tonsils. Slightly raised lesions with a cottage cheese-like appearance. Redness, burning or soreness that may be severe enough to cause difficulty eating or swallowing.

How do you get rid of thrush in the mouth?

Are there home remedies for thrush?
  1. Brush the teeth with a soft toothbrush.
  2. Rinse the mouth with a diluted 3% hydrogen peroxide solution.
  3. Rinse the mouth with warm saltwater.
  4. Avoid mouthwash as it can alter the normal flora of the mouth.
  5. Keep dentures clean and see a dentist if they do not fit correctly.
