Is Soma an anti inflammatory?
Soma Compound (carisoprodol and aspirin tablets, USP) is a fixed-dose combination product containing the following two products: 200 mg of carisoprodol, a centrally-acting muscle relaxant. 325 mg of aspirin, an analgesic with antipyretic and anti-inflammatory properties.
It is just that Soma has more widespread effects. Considering that carisoprodol was primarily developed to treat anxiety; then yes, carisoprodol can help to relieve pain. Anxiety, fear and stress are the biggest amplifiers of pain severity. And like alcohol, Soma does have a dark side.
- Meloxicam is used to treat arthritis. It reduces pain, swelling, and stiffness of the joints. Meloxicam is known as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). If you are treating a chronic condition such as arthritis, ask your doctor about non-drug treatments and/or using other medications to treat your pain.
- For the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis: The usual dose of meloxicam is 15 mg taken as a single dose each day. Depending on your response, your doctor may reduce this dose to 7.5 mg taken as a single dose each day. The maximum recommended daily dose of meloxicam is 15 mg.
- If you take too much: Taking extra meloxicam can cause the serious side effects. This may include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, and stomach bleeding. Overdosing on meloxicam can cause organ failure or serious heart problems.
