Is Periodontal disease is reversible?

They have traditionally been divided into two categories, gingivitis or periodontitis, and can affect one tooth or many teeth. Gingivitis is a reversible and more mild form of periodontal disease that affects only the gums. As the disease progresses, the pockets deepen and more gum tissue and bone are destroyed.

Can you cure periodontal disease?

Regular dental visits and deep cleanings are important to keeping gum disease under control. There is no cure for serious gum or periodontal disease, known as periodontitis, but it can be prevented and controlled by good oral hygiene habits, nutrition, a functional bite, and by not smoking.
