Is Cilantro an annual or perennial?

The herb is called "cilantro" when grown for its leaves and "coriander" when grown for its spicy seeds. Though cilantro is an annual plant, it may be mistaken for a perennial in frost-free climates because it self-seeds prolifically.

Keeping this in consideration, can you grow cilantro indoors?

Water the plants until the water comes out the drainage holes. Check the soil frequently, but cilantro growing indoors should only be watered when the soil is dry to the touch. This will be more often in the summer months. To grow cilantro indoors, it's important that the plant have full sun four to five hours per day.

What is the best temperature to grow cilantro?

Cilantro is a cool-season crop that does best at temperatures between 50 and 85 de- grees F. It can tolerate temperatures as low as 10 degrees F, but if temperatures exceed 85 degrees F it will start to bolt.
