Ceramic cookware does not contain the chemicals found in Teflon (i.e. PTFE and PFOA) non stick coating. Since the cookware is glazed (in a kiln) instead of coated (or dipped), the cookware is 100% safe. In this way, is ceramic coated cookware safe?

Is ceramic pans safe?
I personally use ceramic since it cooks evenly and doesn't leach chemicals. Manufacturers have to eliminate PFOA from all cooking products by the year 2015. Aluminum cookware is one of the most common cookware to use, but can be very toxic as this heavy metal is absorbed into all food cooked in it.
What are the safest pans to cook with?
Here are my favorite bakeware/cookware options in order of preference:
- Ceramic Cookware and Bakeware. I am a huge fan of X-trema Cookware since I got several of their pans for Christmas a few years ago.
- Cast Iron Cookware.
- Le Creuset Enameled Cast Iron and Stoneware.
- Regular Stoneware.
- Glass and Corningware.
- Stainless Steel.
