Unfortunately, one of the major cons of the Battlefield series is lack of local splitscreen multiplayer. Battlefield 1 follows its predecessors by not including a split screen mode. I personally do not care about this, because I expected it, having played Battlefield previously.
Re: how to play split screen oline on battlefield 4 for ps4. Battlefield 4 is a 1-player multiplayer game. While you can play with 64 players online, you can only play with one player per console or PC.
- Due to mixed reception of the two-player Co-op Mode in Battlefield 3, DICE decided to omit the mode from Battlefield 4 to focus on improving both the campaign and multiplayer components instead. AMD and DICE have partnered for AMD's Mantle API to be used on Battlefield 4.

- Ubisoft confirms the feature has been entirely dropped from the game. This morning IGN reported that Ubisoft's melee combat game For Honor had cut split-screen play from its online mode. "For Honor fans looking to play with friends will still have the option to play online co-op for the campaign and multiplayer modes."
