Is banana good before working out?

Eating Before Your Workout. You can eat a healthy breakfast or meal that contains bananas on the morning of your exercise, or at least two hours prior to physical activity. Your body also benefits from pre-workout meals that include protein, such as lean meats or fresh fish, as a complement to your carbs.

What should you eat before exercise?

Ideally, fuel up two hours before you exercise by:
  • Hydrating with water.
  • Eating healthy carbohydrates such as whole-grain cereals (with low-fat or skim milk), whole-wheat toast, low-fat or fat-free yogurt, whole grain pasta, brown rice, fruits and vegetables.
