Is a wood a renewable resource?

Wood is a renewable resource; trees can be replanted and grown to maturity in place of those that are cut down. As long as the trees are replanted at the same rate as they are cut down wood will be a renewable resource. Rainforests are said to be non-renewable because they take thousands of years to re-grow.

So, are trees a renewable resource?

Trees are also very important for us as a renewable resource. Trees are a natural resource that can be renewed - by the planting of trees - replacing the trees that are harvested for use by people. We depend on forest products for things like the wood we burn for heat and the wood we use to make houses and furniture.

Why Trees are considered a renewable resource?

Forests or trees might be considered a non-renewable resource if they are cut down faster than they grow back. Many people think that the best wood is called "heartwood." This is the kind of wood that grows deep down in the middle of very old trees.

Is the Air renewable?

These are called nonrenewable resources. Renewable resources can be used and replaced over and over again. Examples of renewable natural resources are fresh air, water, and soil. These materials are replaced by nature at a fairly fast rate.
