How much Robitussin can I give my dog?

In dogs, the dose given is 0.5 to 1 mg per pound (1 to 2 mg/kg) every 6 to 8 hours. Does as high as 5 mg per pounds may be used twice daily in some situations. Many veterinarians recommend doses of anywhere from 1 ml to 2 ml per 10 pounds of body weight.

Can you give Robitussin to a dog?

You should not give Robitussin to your dog for kennel cough. The best course of action is to have your dog rechecked by your veterinarian to determine if the infection has progressed and, if not, to give prescription cough suppressants.
