How much money can you make from selling your eggs?
Our current egg donation compensation for your time, commitment and services is $8,000 on average for a completed egg donation cycle (i.e. retrieval of eggs). You can earn up to $14,000 depending on your qualifications and the number of eggs you produce.
Do Egg donation hurt?
The egg retrieval is done under sedation so a donor will not experience pain during the procedure. After the procedure, a donor will generally feel tired from the sedation and she may experience some bleeding and / or cramping.
During fetal life, there are about 6 million to 7 million eggs. From this time, no new eggs are produced. At birth, there are approximately 1 million eggs; and by the time of puberty, only about 300,000 remain. Of these, only 300 to 400 will be ovulated during a woman's reproductive lifetime.
Eggs are retrieved from the donor through transvaginal ultrasound aspiration, a surgical procedure performed under conscious sedation. (See figure below). Using a tube attached to an ultrasound probe, a physician guides a suctioning needle into each ovary and removes mature oocytes from the follicles.

Sperm donors are in high demand. As a sperm donor, you can earn as much as $1,000 per month. With donations accepted at locations in Spokane, Pullman and Missoula we encourage you to become a donor today and make a difference.
For ConceiveAbilities, the minimum age to donate eggs is 21 years old. While some egg donation agencies accept egg donors at age 18, we require donors to be at least 21 to protect their own reproductive health and to help ensure they are mature enough to understand the risks and emotional magnitude of donating eggs.
How many eggs are removed during the retrieval? The average is 10-15 eggs aspirated per cycle, but donors can produce 16 or more eggs. If you aspirate 15 eggs will I reach menopause early? NO, you develop many follicles each month, 1-2 of these follicles make it to maturity and ovulate.
Egg donation is generally very safe with no long-term risks. When you are in an egg donation cycle, you will be off all birth control and will be producing multiple eggs because of the stimulation medications. If you have unprotected intercourse during your cycle (which you are told not to), you can become pregnant.
Well, first depends if we're talking about selling your organs legally or via the black market. The biggest-ticket organ you can legally sell in the U.S. is your heart: They're going for a cool $1 million. Livers come in second, worth about $557,000 and kidneys fetch about $262,000 each.
After the organ broker—the guy who sets up your kidney-for-cash transaction—takes his cut, he needs to pay for travel, the surgeon, medical supplies and a few "look-the-other-way" payoffs. Most people get $1,000 to $10,000 for their kidney (probably much less than you were hoping for).
For potential donors, the basic egg donation requirements are:
- Between 21-28 years of age.
- Have regular monthly periods.
- No reproductive disorders or abnormalities.
- Physically and emotionally healthy.
- BMI under 28 (BMI calculator)
- Non-Nicotine user, Non-smoker, Non-drug user.
- Not currently on Depo-Provera.
Not all women can donate eggs. At IVF1, a woman must be at least 18 years old in order to become an egg donor. This is to ensure that you can legally enter into a contract. We don't accept donors who are over 27 years old except in certain circumstances such as when the donor is a sister of the recipient.
You can expect to be paid anywhere from $20 to $50 per donation. The range in compensation is related to the volume of plasma you're able to donate. The FDA sets the guidelines and the ranges are 110-149 pounds, 150-174 pounds, and 175-400 pounds. The more poundage, the more plasma, and the more cash you're paid.
Egg donation is facilitated by a fertility specialist who extracts eggs from a donor's ovaries and either freezes them for future use or fertilizes them immediately for implantation in a woman's uterus in order to start a pregnancy.
Donor insemination is significantly less expensive than using donor eggs. The cost can range anywhere from $300 to $4,000, depending on whether the male partner's sperm is being used, or if anonymous donor sperm is utilized.
Egg donation is the process by which a woman donates eggs to enable another woman to conceive as part of an assisted reproduction treatment or for biomedical research.
It's illegal to pay for egg donation in the UK. Egg donors can receive compensation of up to £750 per donation 'cycle' to cover their costs. A donation cycle is one complete round of treatment, at the end of which the eggs are collected and donated.
There is no money to be made selling blood anymore. It can, however, pay off to sell plasma, a component in blood that is used in a number of treatments for serious illnesses. It is legal to “donate” plasma up to two times a week, for which a bank will pay around $30 each time.
