Preheat the oven to 325°F. Place the ham on a rack in a shallow roasting pan. For a whole 10- to 15-pound ham, allow 18 to 20 minutes per pound; for a half--5 to 7 pounds--about 20 minutes per pound; or for a shank or butt portion weighing 3 to 4 pounds, about 35 minutes to the pound.

To reheat a spiral-sliced ham in a conventional oven, cover the entire ham or portion with heavy aluminum foil and heat at 325 °F (162.8 °C) for about 10 minutes per pound. Individual slices may also be warmed in a skillet or microwave.
These can be eaten cold right out of the package. If you want to reheat these cooked hams, set the oven no lower than 325°F and heat to an internal temperature of 140°F. Spiral-cut hams, which are fully cooked, are best served cold because heating sliced hams can dry out the meat and cause the glaze to melt.
Place uncovered in the oven for 18 to 20 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F on a meat thermometer. When done, let the ham rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Spiral-cut hams are fully cooked, cured hams that are pre-sliced to hold together for easy serving. For boneless hams, bake at 325 degrees; for 6- to 8-pound hams, about 20 minutes per pound. For a bone-in ham, cook at 325 degrees; for up to 14 to 16 pounds, about 12 minutes per pound.
Some common ingredients used in making a ham glaze include:
- Jam or preserves.
- Brown sugar.
- Maple syrup.
- Fruit juice, cider or soda.
- Cloves, cinnamon, ginger, and other spices.
Then they can be cooked by boiling or baking. Follow the manufacturer's cooking instructions. NOTE: Set oven temperature to 325 °F. Cook all raw fresh ham and ready-to-eat ham to a minimum internal temperature of 145 °F as measured with a food thermometer before removing meat from the heat source.
Cook's Bone-In Half Hams are now fully cooked! This means it may be eaten cold or heated. The ham only needs to be heated through if serving warm. A Cook's Half Ham is a premium cut because the center steaks, the leanest and best part of the ham, have not been removed.
Heat your precooked ham to 165 degrees. Your heating time will vary depending on the quantity of ham you have in your slow cooker or roaster. Estimate 15 to 18 minutes per pound for a bone-in whole precooked ham. Pierce the ham with the thermometer to check the temperature.
A picnic roast is actually from the shoulder of the hog (the front leg), and is also called a pork shoulder. The “ham” comes from the back leg.
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
- Score ham, and stud with the whole cloves. Place ham in foil lined pan.
- In the top half of a double boiler, heat the corn syrup, honey and butter. Keep glaze warm while baking ham.

Do invite a lot of people over when making a ham; a 16-pound ham can feed 18 to 20 people (estimate about 3/4 pound per person for a bone-in ham and 1/2 pound for boneless). Don't coat the ham with sugar until the last hour of cooking, or it will burn.
