How far apart should your legs be when you squat?

Follow these general Squat form guidelines instead and individualize them as you gain experience….
  1. Stance. Squat with your heels shoulder-width apart.
  2. Feet. Turn your feet out 30°.
  3. Knees. Push your knees to the side, in the direction of your feet.
  4. Hips.
  5. Lower Back.
  6. Grip.
  7. Grip Width.
  8. Bar Position.

Beside this, do squats really work to make your bum bigger?

Air squats are great for beginners and to tone, but if you've been squatting for more than six months and haven't noticed your butt getting bigger, it's because you need to add weight. Your glutes are just muscles, and you have to add resistance in order for them to grow, the same way you would with any other muscle.

What are the benefits of doing squats?

Squats predominately work your butt (glutes) and thighs (hamstrings and quadriceps) but abs, obliques, lower back, calves, and the ankle complex all play supportive roles.

How many squats should be done in a day?

50 squats in one day is too difficult for most beginners, and even if you could do 250 squats with perfect form, you will be training for muscular endurance rather than strength (which is what leads to the toned look). It's the same reason you wouldn't do 50+ reps of an exercise in the gym.
