How electricity is distributed to our homes?

The spinning turbines make the electricity, which flows into power lines and to our houses. Electricity moves through the wires very fast. Distribution lines carry small amounts of electricity from the substations to houses, businesses and schools. Electricity travels in closed circuits (from the word "circle").

In this way, what is electric generation transmission and distribution?

Electric power transmission is the bulk movement of electrical energy from a generating site, such as a power plant, to an electrical substation. This is distinct from the local wiring between high-voltage substations and customers, which is typically referred to as electric power distribution.
