- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app .
- To the right of the address bar, tap More Settings.
- Tap Site settings Pop-ups.
- Turn Pop-ups to Allowed or Block.
How do I stop ads on my Samsung phone?
The steps are quite easy:
- Find Galaxy Apps in your app drawer.
- Tap More and then Settings in the top-right corner.
- Tap the toggle next to Push notifications.
- While here, you can also turn off notifications for app updates if you wish.
STEP 1: Uninstall the malicious apps from Android
- To uninstall the malicious app from your Android device, go to the Settings menu, then click on Apps or Application manager (this may differ depending on your device).

To enable or disable push notifications at the Android system level:
- On your Android device, tap Apps > Settings > MORE.
- Tap Application manager > DOWNLOADED.
- Tap on the Arlo app.
- Select or clear the check box next to Show notifications to enable or disable push notifications.
Scroll to the bottom of the list of Safari settings to the "Block Pop-ups" setting. Tap the "OFF" button once to change the setting to "ON." Close the Settings app and tap the "Safari" icon to maximize the Safari browser onscreen again. Pop up screens will now be blocked on your iPhone.
How to block ads on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
- Download your Content Blocker of choice from the App Store. (We like Crystal.)
- Open the Settings app.
- Go to Safari > Content Blockers.
- Enable the blockers of your choice.
Open your Settings menu and choose Apps, then make sure you're viewing the Downloaded tab. If you don't know the name of the virus you think has infected your Android phone or tablet, go through the list and look for anything dodgy-looking or that you know you haven't installed or shouldn't be running on your device.
How to remove a virus from Android
- Put your phone or tablet into Safe mode.

Pop-up ads or pop-ups are forms of online advertising on the World Wide Web. A pop-up is a graphical user interface (GUI) display area, usually a small window, that suddenly appears ("pops up") in the foreground of the visual interface. Pop-ups can be used to display advertisements.
Opt out of Ads Personalization on Google Search
- Go to Ads Settings.
- Click or tap the slider next to “Ads Personalization on Google Search”
- Click or tap TURN OFF.

Find an app that's causing the ad or pop up and uninstall it (Go to Settings > Apps or Application Manager > app causing the pop-up > Uninstall > OK). Uninstalling Adblock Plus for Android is similar to any other app you have downloaded:
- Navigate to Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage applications (on devices running Android 4.x, Settings > Apps).
- Scroll through the list of apps to find the one you'd like to uninstall.
- Tap on the app you'd like to uninstall.
- Click the Chrome Menu icon from the browser toolbar.
- Highlight the Tools menu, then click Extensions from the sub-menu.
- Click the Trash icon that appears next to the Adblock Plus entry.
- Click Remove once the confirmation message appears to effectively uninstall Adblock Plus from your Web browser.
Internet Explorer (Windows IE 9 and later)
- Click the GEAR icon and select Internet Options.
- Select the Privacy tab.
- Uncheck Turn on Pop-up Blocker to disable the pop-up blocker.
- Click the Settings button to disable pop-up blockers for specific sites.
- Click OK.
Step 2: Find Apps (or Applications, depending on your device) in the menu, then locate the app that you want to clear the cache or data for. Step 3: Tap on Storage and the buttons for clearing the cache and app data will become available (pictured above).

These malicious apps are carrying malware known as Dresscode. Dresscode is designed to infiltrate networks and steal data. It can also add infected devices to a Botnet, which is capable of carrying out denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks as well as taking part in spam email campaigns.
