A common way that WPS is implemented involves displaying a secret PIN code on the Wi-Fi access point, and requiring that the same PIN be typed into the device.
WPS stands for Wi-Fi Protected Setup. It's a security standard that tries to make connecting wireless devices easier. If you are connecting a new device that supports WPS, you can push the button on your router, then your device will connect to it automatically.
Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) and Wi-Fi Protected Access II (WPA2) are two security protocols and security certification programs developed by the Wi-Fi Alliance to secure wireless computer networks.
