How do I cook carrots on the stove top?

  1. Cook carrots in a large pot of boiling water until tender. Drain off most of the liquid, leaving bottom of pan covered with water. Set the carrots aside.
  2. Stir margarine and brown sugar into the water. Simmer and stir until the margarine melts. Return carrots to the pot, and toss to coat.

How do you saute carrots?

  1. Heat 1 T butter with water in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add carrots, cover and cook until softened- about 10 minutes.
  3. Remove cover and cook, stirring often 5-10 minutes or until golden.
  4. Add rest of butter and honey and transfer to serving dish.
