Do surrogate mothers get paid?

The average amount of compensation can range from $30,000 to $50,000 plus expenses, depending on experience and the individual arrangements. In states like California, where surrogates are in high demand, surrogates may be paid slightly higher.

Can the surrogate mother keep the child?

Can a Surrogate or the Intended Parents change her mind and keep the baby? In the case of a gestational surrogacy arrangement in compliance with Florida law, the surrogate is not a biological parent to the child and, accordingly, does not have any legal right to the child following birth.
