Can you use Symbicort and albuterol together?

Symbicort does not work immediately and is not intended for use as a rescue inhaler to relieve asthma attacks. Rescue inhaler medications, such as albuterol, are safe to use with Symbicort. Do not use Symbicort more than twice per day unless directed to do so by your doctor.

Beside this, what are the side effects of too much albuterol?

You should tell your doctor if any of the following side effects of albuterol become severe or don't go away:
  • Nervousness.
  • Shaking of a part of the body.
  • Headache.
  • Nausea.
  • Vomiting.
  • Cough.
  • Irritation in the throat.
  • Muscle, bone, or back pain.

Can asthma inhalers make breathing worse?

"Despite their usefulness in rapidly relieving asthma, relievers may cause asthma to worsen when used too frequently. "Professor Bradding aims to understand why it is that people who use their reliever inhalers too often, without using a preventer inhaler, are putting themselves at risk of worse asthma symptoms.

Can albuterol cause shortness of breath?

Spasms and tightening of these muscles cause the majority of the symptoms (tightness, cough, and shortness of breath) people with asthma feel. However, albuterol does not treat the other important problem that comes with asthma — inflammation in the lining of the airways.
