Is there a waterproof spray paint?

If you are asking if the film itself is waterproof, again, it depends on the paint formulation and how many coats you are using. Some paints are water soluble and some paints are water resistant but if water gets UNDER the paint due to poor application or bad preparation then it isn't the paint's fault.

Why is the spray paint cracking?

A few different factors can cause the finish to wrinkle or crack when applying another coat of paint. The most common – is applying the paint too thickly – which makes the surface of the paint dry too fast and not the underside. When you re-coat the solvents in the paint shrink and this causes the wrinkling.

What does gesso do?

Gesso is very similar to white acrylic paint, only thinner. It dries hard, making the surface more stiff. Gesso prepares (or "primes") the surface for painting, making the surface slightly textured and ready to accept acrylic paint. Without gesso, the paint would soak into the weave of the canvas.

How many coats of primer should you do?

There are going to be a few factors on how many coats you need. What color is on the wall, how much the wall soaks up the first coat of primer, as well as the primer you are choosing. You will be looking at 1-2 coats of primer and 2 coats of paint minimum.

How long should primer dry between coats?

Most latex primers dry to the touch within 30 minutes to 1 hour. But do not paint the wall until the primer dries thoroughly, which can take up to 3 hours. High humidity and cool temperatures prolongs drying times.

How many coats of primer does MDF need?

You should always apply two to three coats of primer before you attempt to paint MDF. For the best results, you can lightly sand the MDF between coats of primer. Allow at least an hour before you start painting, otherwise, the primer may not be totally dry.

What is the best paint to use on MDF?

Seal the edges with drywall putty to ensure a consistent coat when painting medium density fiberboard. For any painted cabinets, furniture, wall paneling, and some molding, MDF is a great choice of material. Surface faces come from the factory sanded to 150 grit or better, essentially paint-ready.

Can you cut MDF?

A jigsaw cuts MDF as easily as it cuts plywood, although you should keep in mind that the more teeth the blade has, the less chance there is of chipping the material around the edges of the cut. You can also cut curves in MDF with a handheld multipurpose or rotary tool fitted with a multi-purpose cutting blade.

Can you put microfiber in the dryer?

Wash your microfiber in the washing machine with detergent only. Tumble them dry on low heat or no heat. High heat will literally melt the fibers while fabric softener and bleach will eliminate the electric charge that makes microfiber so effective.
